Gus’s BBQ and its “real pit” cooked meats and “true Southern hospitality” could be available in the Porter Ranch neighborhood of Los Angeles starting in early-2020.

The South Pasadena-based restaurant since 1946 will be situated in Vineyards, a $150-million open-air mixed-use, at 20179 W. Rinaldi Street, Suite 150.

“It’s been a little tricky nailing down an opening date with the construction delays…,” a representative this week told What Now Los Angeles through Facebook.

“…but right now we’re looking at mid-January!”

Gus’s BBQ on Monday and Tuesday held a hiring fair for all positions including front and back of house.

“Our newest location at the Vineyards at Porter Ranch is opening soon, and we are putting together our opening team,” according to an advertisement for the fair.

In addition to its menu of traditional Southern barbecue will be whiskeys, wines, cocktails, and local beers.

Gus’s BBQ will be open in Porter Ranch Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The restaurant is one of several tenants “opening soon” in the new Whole Foods Market-anchored Vineyards including Finney’s Crafthouse and Kitchen, Jersey Mike’s, Lure Fish House, and Patxi’s Pizza.
