Hall Pass, a new ice cream shop offering nostalgic flavors and premium ingredients, is set to open at 9163 West Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood.
The shop appears to be nearing completion and will open in the former home of Sunset Psychic Gallery, first reported by ToddRickAllen. While an official opening date has not been confirmed, reports suggest Hall Pass could be welcoming customers as early as August 1. The storefront has recently received updated signage, and the interior build-out appears nearly finished. Described as a modern take on classic ice cream experiences, Hall Pass aims to bring high-quality ingredients and playful twists to familiar flavors. The concept is positioning itself as both a dessert destination and a fun, social gathering spot.
Hall Pass is the latest project from Lawrence Longo and Amirah Kassem. Longo is the force behind several successful Los Angeles food ventures, including Prince St. Pizza, Irv’s Burgers, and the popular culinary membership platform Off the Menu. Kassem is the founder of FLOUR SHOP, known for its colorful, whimsical baked goods. She is also an author and television personality, serving as a judge on the Disney+ series Foodtastic. The collaboration brings together their experience in food, branding, and entertainment.
This will be an excellent spot for Hall Pass’s debut. The property is centrally located at the intersection of Sunset and Doheny, providing easy access from both the 101 and 405 Freeways. It’s also within walking distance of nearby restaurants and retail, and sits at the base of Beverly Hills and the Hollywood Hills. The surrounding area includes a population of over 225,000 people within a three-mile radius, with an average household income of approximately $130,000. With steady foot traffic and a growing local population, Hall Pass is well-positioned to become a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike.
