Beverly Plaza, a one-story retail strip in Wilshire Center, will soon be home to Japanese restaurant Hanabi.

The full-service restaurant, located two blocks from the Vermont/Beverly Metro, will replace the now-shuttered Karma Lounge, at 3954 Beverly Blvd.

Hanabi will “strive to achieve a distinction in Japanese cuisine through the modernization of dishes with traditional principles,” according to plans submitted to the City of Los Angeles.

Its “bold and diverse menu” will include an array of hot and cold entrees including sushi, nigiri, and yakitori (Japanese-style skewered meats).

Hanabi’s 1,226-square-foot space will offer seating for 60 and will be open daily from 10:00 a.m to 2:00 a.m.
