One of Manhattan Village’s upcoming storefronts is Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream, a franchise that spans the whole country. Manhattan Village confirmed that the popular ice cream shop will be opening up its 16th California location, this time at 3200 Sepulveda Blvd in Manhattan Beach.

What Now Los Angeles (WNLA) reached out to Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream’s CEO Leonard Fisher and others involved with the project, who have not yet commented on the opening. However, details regarding Manhattan Village’s future expansion have been obtained by WNLA. Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream will be a part of The Village Shops and Plaza center enhancement that is expected to be complete in 2021.

According to a press pamphlet, the “redevelopment is a 53,300-square-foot expansion” that “will consist of curated open-air dining and retail space with a modern luxury feel that is Manhattan Beach. An open-air Plaza will create a place for people to gather, socialize, and experience coastal living at its best.”

Alongside Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream, Silverlake Ramen, Sweetgreen, and Sidecar Doughnut will be amongst the few new additions to Manhattan Village.
