Hank’s Bagels, a scratch-made bagel shop with locations in Burbank and Sherman Oaks, is getting ready to open in Brentwood at 11725 Barrington Ct.
The new location is set to move into the former home of Yu Cake, according to ToddRickAllen. While an exact opening date has yet to be announced, the Brentwood site will bring the brand’s signature handmade bagels, spreads, and loaded sandwiches to the Westside community.
Hank’s Bagels has gained a loyal following since debuting in Burbank, with a second location later opening in Sherman Oaks. Known for its high-quality ingredients and inventive flavor combinations, the concept offers a modern spin on the classic bagel shop. The company has built a reputation for selling out regularly, with operating hours typically ending once inventory is gone for the day.
The menu features a variety of hearty sandwiches, including options like the Number 1 (fried egg, maple-glazed bacon or homemade turkey sausage, sharp cheddar, tomato, and aioli) and the Number 3 (gravlax, scallion cream cheese, capers, radish, pickled onion, salted cucumber, sprouts, tomato, and dill). Vegetarian-friendly options are also available, such as the Number 4, which includes avocado, pickled onion, and vegan aioli.
Additional menu offerings include traditional deli-style salads, such as egg, tuna, and chicken, as well as a mustardy smashed potato salad. Guests can also expect rotating specials, with frequent updates that align with seasonal ingredients and trends.
With demand for artisanal bagels continuing to rise across Los Angeles, Hank’s entry into Brentwood taps into a broader citywide resurgence of classic deli fare. The expansion also helps fill a void left by the closure of Yu Cake, while bringing an established, locally grown concept to the neighborhood.
