HiHo Cheeseburger, known for serving 100% grass-fed Wagyu beef, is expanding with two new locations slated to open in Pasadena and Calabasas.

The Pasadena location, at 625 E Colorado Blvd, #100, is scheduled for Fall 2025, while the Calabasas outpost, located at 4799 Commons Way, Suite I, is expected in Winter 2025. Founded by Sheeroy Desai, Matt Levin, and Jerry Greenberg, HiHo Cheeseburger has gained recognition for its commitment to clean, high-quality ingredients. The company was recently named the best burger in California and is the only burger restaurant exclusively using 100% grass-fed Wagyu beef.

“There are some new things, but the one that stays the same is that we are the only burger place exclusively serving 100% grass-fed Wagyu,” Desai tells What Now in an email. “That’s because of our unwavering commitment to give our guests a delicious cheeseburger that makes you feel as good as it tastes.”

HiHo is also extending its popular delivery service, now available until midnight daily. This feature, first introduced at current locations, will continue in both Pasadena and Calabasas once they open. The co-founders say the decision to expand into these areas was rooted in their alignment with the brand’s values.

“We are really excited about bringing a cheeseburger you can trust to Calabasas and Pasadena,” Levin tells What Now in an email. “By trust, we mean a couple of things: trust in the beef being the best, and trust in the quality behind it, because we’re also owners in the farms. It’s what we call ‘farm to bun.’ That kind of trust matters in both communities that are health-conscious, quality-driven, and intentional about what they eat. And on top of that, Pasadena happens to be the birthplace of the cheeseburger, and where I was born, raised, and still call home.”

Levin also noted that Pasadena holds personal significance as both the birthplace of the cheeseburger and his hometown. HiHo emphasizes a simplified ingredient approach across its menu, including buns made with eight clean ingredients and hand-cut fries that contain only potatoes, oil, and salt.

“Being recently named the best burger in the state of California highlights why people love our cheeseburgers,” Greenberg tells What Now in an email. “It starts with great beef–100% grass-fed Wagyu that is naturally juicy. No butter or fat needed to cook it up on the grill. But we don’t stop at the beef; we work hard to eliminate the garbage found in most foods. So, we worked with a local baker to make a bun with eight clean ingredients, not the 20+ of who knows what found in the Martin’s potato bun that virtually everyone else uses. And look, fries are never going to be a healthy food. That said, we cut real potatoes, fry them, and add salt. Simple as that. Not the 8-12 ingredients in commodity fries served everywhere else. How do you get that many ingredients in something as simple as French fries!? We could go on, but you get the point. Why not enjoy a burger that tastes as good as it makes you feel?”
