HiroNori Craft Ramen, one of Orange County’s favorite ramen restaurants, is opening a new location in Torrance, located at 970-990 W 190th St.

The company’s 10th location is moving into the upcoming multi-purpose development called The Enclave, which will feature multiple restaurants and rentable office spaces. Some of the forthcoming tenants include Berry Brand, Long Beach Fish Grill, Lea Jane’s Hot Chicken, Faka’s Island Grill, and many more. The entire shopping center and these restaurants are expected to have a soft opening in July, followed by a grand opening scheduled for October 2022.

This is a significant accomplishment for co-owners Hiro Igarashi and Nori Akasakamet, who met in Los Angeles in 2011. Six years later, they founded HiroNori Craft Ramen to serve authentic ramen with excellent service and bring joy to their customers. In 2019, the duo was honored to be recognized by the Michelin Guide. The following year the company was ranked number one for Orange County’s best ramen.

Igarashi grew up in a family that loved ramen. At age 18, he started working at his first ramen shop before visiting Los Angeles and experiencing the poor quality of the ramen. On the other hand, Akasaka is obsessed with ramen. All through high school, he worked at ramen restaurants. Nori then moved to Tokyo and worked at a ramen restaurant where they used over 1,000 pounds of bones per day for their soup base. Together they’ve opened up six locations in Southern California and three in Northern California.
