Good news for comedy fans: Hollywood Improv at 8162 Melrose Avenue has requested an expansion that will provide a new stage and more seats.
The comedy club intends to expand its existing dining area into a 1,943 square-foot outdoor patio with 71 seats and build an 80 square-foot portable stage for special live comedic events. The proposed project will also convert the existing ticket booth into a bar and create a new ticket booth.
Hollywood Improv provides dinner and a show that will have in stitches. Between laughs, you can delight in its exceptional menu of classic bar foods, ranging from its loaded fries and buffalo wings to more signature eats like its barbacoa beef ramen and Nashville hot chicken sandwich on a brioche bun. The drink menu has an array of draft beers and wines as well as speciality cocktails like the Sexy on Stage, a merry medley of vodka, melon and peach schnapps, orange, cranberry, and pineapple juice that will perk you right up.
The new outdoor patio dining at Hollywood Improv intends to be open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
