Honeybee Burger is opening up its vegan burger joint in Fairfax, at 345 N La Brea Ave. — the restaurant’s third location since its conception in April 2019. Adam Weiss, the owner, and co-founder of both Honeybee Burger and its parent company, Virtuous Food, confirmed the news with What Now Los Angeles but did not immediately provide more information including an opening timeline for the incoming Honeybee Burger.

The goal of Virtuous Food and, by extension Honeybee Burger, is to feed “our growing population, increasing sustainability, reducing the use of animals in the food chain, and improving the health and wellness of each and all of us,” according to its website. Honeybee Burger employs this idea with its menu. “Every element of our menu, from our classic cheeseburger to our soft-serve cones, is made with extraordinary plant-based ingredients.” It offers such items as The Honeybee, The Queen Bee, The Brekky Bee, and other non-burger patty items like The Bee-Rito — all entirely plant-based.

Honeybee Burger’s main focuses are the two vegan staples, the Impossible Burger and the Beyond Burger — which are made from a variety of non-carnivorous things like soy, protein, yeast extract, salt, etc.

Honeybee Burger also operates two other locations, one in Silver Lake at 2764 Rowena Ave and another in The Colony at 11419 Santa Monica Blvd. Weiss insisted on holding off on details at the moment, but the restaurant is expected to take possession of the space on November 1.
