Shrimp Daddy — praised for its popular, seafood-centric Garlic Butter Sauce — is opening its first brick-and-mortar at 6600 CA-27, Canoga Park, CA 91303, home of the Westfield Topanga luxury retail district and its incoming food hall, Topanga Social.

“Topanga Social is a curated collection of 25 specialty food and drink venues, an indoor/outdoor cocktail garden, and the first-ever outposts of LA’s hottest pop-ups,” according to Business Wire.

What’s more, “the multi-unit, 50,000+ square foot expansive indoor [and] al fresco gastronomy mecca will offer three full-service bars, aggregated multi-vendor food ordering, pickup + local delivery, a dedicated private event space, [and] a ‘speakeasy’-style secret arcade…”

As for June Quan, Dan Tran, Anna Wang, and Jeremy Tu‘s Shrimp Daddy, the company was created to offer customers the founders’ unique take on island flavors.

The Shrimp Daddy family encourages diners to try its shrimp whole, “like how we eat it in Hawaii – shell, tail, and all,” as the brand’s Hawaiian-style garlic butter shrimp is cooked and served with the shell and tail on to lock in all of the flavors and juices.

Topanga Social is predicting a spring debut, but many of its vendors have told What Now Los Angeles that opening dates are dependent upon a number of unpredictable factors.
