Hot Motha Clucker, the Nashville hot chicken restaurant found in Hollywood, is expanding to a new site in Studio City, located at 12048 Ventura Blvd.

The company was started in 2018 by three brothers in hopes of creating their version of the famous Nashville Hot Chicken recipe. Over six months and endless dedication, they were able to perfect what is now known as one of the best hot chicken spots in Los Angeles. After frying from their backyard for friends and family, the trio eventually moved to Fashion Square Car Wash in Sherman Oaks as a pop-up. It didn’t take long before Hot Motha Clucker became an overnight success and attracted dozens of people around the car wash.

Unfortunately, the success was cut short due to the pandemic hitting the company at the peak of its popularity. Eventually, the owners were able to bounce back and, in August 2021, open its first brick-and-mortar in Hollywood at 1708 North Las Palmas Ave. Now the restaurant is getting ready to expand into the home of 24 Hot Chicken & Waffles, although the business is still in operation. The restaurant is expected to open sometime in November 2022, according to the Hot Motha Clucker’s website

When this new restaurant opens, customers can expect a lot more than just the standard chicken shop options. Like other chicken eateries, Hot Motha Clucker offers chicken tenders and sandwiches, both of which can be customized by heat levels, ranging from no heat to clucked up. Unlike other chicken restaurants, this one has 100 percent Angus beef smash burgers, specializing in BBQ burgers. Hot Motha Clucker also has plenty of smaller bites, such as crispy hot wings, quesadillas, fries, and more.
