I Like Pie, the Claremont-based pie shop, is expanding greatly throughout Los Angeles, recently opening a second location in Pasadena at 38 S. Raymond Ave.

The company’s newest location opened over the weekend, ten years after husband and wife duo Annika and Rob Corbin opened the original store after an unexpected layoff, according to Eater LA. Executive chef David Man will oversee baking operations at the new Pasadena site. On top of the new opening, I Like Pie is working on opening three other locations in Southern California. Several company representatives could not confirm which areas the company will be expanding to.

This is just the beginning for the company. I Like Pie is also opening a commissary kitchen called The Bakespace, which will help expand the company’s footprint even further by providing centralized baking for its current and future locations. The new commissary kitchen will also offer pie-making classes and host special events. All sites will offer various delicious pies that rotate based on the season. Current options are pumpkin praline, spicy potato veggie, and salted caramel banana cream.

“We reimagined the traditional pie format to make pie more portable, versatile, and fun,” Annika tells Eater. “Although we anticipate most of our best-sellers will continue to do well in the Pasadena market, we are excited to create and test new innovative flavors and see what customers like. Opening a store in Pasadena has been a goal I have long dreamed of. Building a presence in Pasadena also brings I Like Pie closer to our customers who come from LA.”
