In-N-Out Burger has filed plans with the City of Los Angeles to demolish a Woodland Hills carwash and build a brand-spanking-new restaurant in its place.

Reps for the popular fast-food chain on Thursday are slated to meet with the Woodland Hills Warner Center Neighborhood Council’s Planning Land Use and Mobility Committee to discuss its intentions for the project.

The conditional use requests for the new In-N-Out were first submitted in October.

If approved, In-N-Out would demolish all-of or part-of Ventura West Hand Car Wash, spanning 22503 – 22527 Ventura Blvd., and construct its restaurant from the ground-up, anchored on the corner of Ventura Blvd. and Capistrano Ave.

“We are looking at a site located at the corner of Ventura Blvd and Capistrano Ave.,” Carl Arena, vice president of real estate and development for In-N-Out, told What Now Los Angeles in a prepared statement.

“While we are very enthusiastic about the opportunity there, it is still very early in the development process. Because it is still so early in the process, it would be premature to comment on a timeline or if we will even achieve a development approval. I’m sorry I can’t be more specific at this time but I’d hate to make a speculative guess and possibly wind up misleading some of your readers if that guess was wrong.”

The new restaurant would be open Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Friday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.

More than 1,000 “daily trips” would be expected through In-N-Out Burger’s drive-thru at the location.
