3rd Street Market & Deli may reopen at its former location, 4600 E 3rd St East Los Angeles, CA 90022, according to a recent liquor license filed with The State of California by Ruben Lopez — who’s listed as president, VP, director, secretary, and treasurer — under B.L.P Life, Inc

Lopez also serves as the Community Manager for the app CrowdGraf, a start-up based out of LA designed to help users find fun, local events in real time.

3rd Street Market & Deli announced its closure in late January via Instagram, explaining in a caption, “With a broken heart, we are saddened to announce that this will be our last weekend doing business. Doors close Sunday, Jan. 23 until we sell out. We invite you to come and say hello. Times are tough for everyone, please support all your local small businesses because your support matters.”

A week later, the market’s owners proclaimed, “This is not a good-bye, but a ‘see you later’ or as we say in the neighborhood, ‘ahi, te wacho al rato’ as we explore other options to keep our mission alive.”

The outpost’s Instagram still reads, “CLOSED until further notice.”

While it’s unclear if Lopez is the original owner of the vegan deli-bakery-market-grill, it seems the establishment’s promise to return is in the process of being kept.

What Now Los Angeles reached out to Lopez for additional details, but did not receive an immediate response. This article will be updated as more information becomes available.
