Jay Bird’s Nashville Hot Chicken is adding another location in Los Angeles, specifically San Pedro, at the new West Harbor Waterfront at 1190 Nagoya Way.

The micro-chain restaurant now has five locations in Los Angeles County, another one in Orange, and a new location coming to Carlsbad soon, according to What Now San Diego. The restaurants are all owned by Wild Thyme Restaurant Group, founded by Heinrich Stasiuk. The new San Pedro location comes from a $150 million redevelopment of the old Ports O’ Call Village. It includes a handful of other restaurants, including Yamashiro and Mike Hess Brewing.

“Jay Bird’s is a quick-service restaurant that serves up the best of Nashville hot chicken in long beach,” according to their Facebook. “Whether you like your fried chicken plain or coated with the hottest chili peppers in the world, we strive to make it delicious every time you visit.”

The fast-growing restaurant joins the many other Nashville-style hot chicken restaurants trying to claim the title of best chicken sandwich. Jay Bird’s Nashville Hot Chicken offers sandwiches, fries, mac n’ cheese, tenders, and more. The restaurant fancies combination plates, such as the Mac Daddy (chicken sandwich with mac n’ cheese) and Balzin Fries (fries with mac n’ cheese). There is no official opening date for the new San Pedro restaurant. The chain has yet to open the Carlsbad location either.
