Jay Bird’s Nashville Hot Chicken is opening up its third location where Rubin’s Red Hot stood last year on 15322 Ventura Blvd in Sherman Oaks. After opening up for the first time just a little over a year ago in The Hangar at Long Beach, 4150 McGowen St. #4, Jay Bird’s has become a big name in the growing LA trend of Nashville hot chicken. A second location at 303 3rd St. in Huntington Beach opened up in August.
What Now Los Angeles (WNLA) spoke with Branen Fitzgerald, a PR rep for Jay Bird’s Nashville Hot Chicken, who confirmed the opening and said that, as far as an official timeline goes, it’ll be quite a while before the hot chicken restaurant opens its doors. The rep told WNLA that paperwork has been secured but renovations on the vacant restaurant haven’t even started yet.
Jay Bird’s Nashville Hot Chicken is owned by partners Chef Jay Bogsinske and Heinrich Stasiuk, CEO of Jay Bird’s parent company Wild Thyme. This particular brand of Nashville hot chicken comes in six different heat levels — Plain Jay, Mild, Medium, Hot, Extra Hot, and Fire. The chicken is all-natural and hormone-free.
