One of the fastest-growing Asian restaurants in the world, Jollibee, is making its Downtown Los Angeles debut, located at 729 7th St.
Although the Philippines-based company has over 1,400 stores worldwide, this is the first one in Downtown Los Angeles. The next closest location is in Hollywood, followed by seven other locations in Los Angeles County. The newest Downtown location is expected to open by the end of the year. This expansion is part of a major North American expansion for 2021, aiming to open 28 more stores in North America, including 19 in the United States.
The newest Jollibee will replace Octopus Japanese Restaurant. When the restaurant finally opens, customers can expect to find all the fast-food staples that have made this chain globally popular. Some menu highlights include fried chicken, chicken tenders, burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, and family bucket meals. The company adjusts its menu based on its location to have some regional favorites, such as jolly spaghetti, palabok fiesta, and burger steaks. Downtown’s Jollibee will offer in-person, takeout, and delivery options once it opens.
“We have remained nimble and optimistic, which has led Jollibee to defy expectations amidst an extremely difficult year and experience double-digit sales growth across North America,” said Maribeth Dela Cruz, President of Jollibee Group North America. “Make no mistake though, we would not be weathering these hard times without the support of our customers. They’ve showed up for us and now we want to show up for them. We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support we’ve received from across these regions and are thrilled to deliver a small spark of joy as we enter the holiday season.”
