Keisuke Ramen, considered one of the biggest ramen chain restaurants in Singapore, is making its Los Angeles debut in Torrance.

The new restaurant will move into the Del Amo Fashion Center at an unknown time, likely before the end of the year. This will be the company’s second California location, following a new site coming to San Diego’s Mission Valley mall. This is just one of many new restaurants coming to the Torrance shopping center. Other new eateries coming to the area include North Italia, sweetgreen, Slater’s 50/50, Starbucks Kiosk, and a new restaurant called Kitchen of Korea.

Keisuke Ramen was founded by Keisuke Takeda, who started his career at 12 as a chef in a French restaurant. The Hiroshima-born chef opened a modern Japanese restaurant in 2004 called Bimisenryu Tanka. The following year he opened his first ramen restaurant, called Kuro Miso Ramen, where he was able to be innovative and creative with his ramen recipes. The ingredients were mixed Miso base with seven different types of Miso and Bamboo Charcoal.

Now, Keisuke Ramen can be found in 18 outlets, mainly in Singapore and Japan. The company is also working on opening a new location in The Shops at Mission Viejo, in the dining pavilion between Island’s Fine Burgers & Drinks and P.F. Chang’s China Bistro. When these new locations open, customers can expect various ramen creations, along with Japanese appetizers, such as gyoza. The new restaurant will also likely serve different types of Japanese alcohol.
