Kinrose Creamery, a delightful Iranian-Egyptian ice cream shop with a location in Old Town Pasadena at 140 Mills Place, is preparing to open its second brick-and-mortar location in Encino at 16915 Ventura Blvd.
The company’s newest location is currently in development next to Alfred Coffee in Encino, which is also in the process of building out its own space, according to WhatsNewSFV. While an official opening date has not yet been announced, Kinrose Creamery is currently operating a weekend pop-up at the front of the building, offering customers an early look at its offerings. The temporary setup will run from Friday through Sunday, from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. The team, consisting of owners Moe Kamal and Maria Oveysi, plans to move in once the build-out is complete, which is expected to be within the next few weeks.
Customers visiting the Encino pop-up can expect a menu similar to what is served in Pasadena, featuring Middle Eastern-inspired ice cream flavors crafted from family recipes. Offerings include saffron pistachio rose, walnut baklava, kanafeh, lavashak, and sour cherry with Iranian fairy floss. Each scoop is served with complementary garnishes, such as rose petals, phyllo crumble, or pashmak, to highlight both flavor and presentation. The full storefront is expected to maintain this approach, combining traditional flavor profiles with a creative, modern format that reflects the shop’s roots in Iranian and Egyptian culture.
Encino will be an excellent location for the company’s second location, offering consistent foot traffic along Ventura Boulevard and proximity to a range of local shops, cafes, and residential neighborhoods. Its location next to Alfred Coffee is likely to draw crossover visitors once both businesses are open. With increased visibility from the sidewalk and access to weekend crowds, the new site is well-positioned to attract both destination customers and casual walk-ins exploring the surrounding area.
