Koi Restaurant, the zen-inspired restaurant that has been around since 2002, is expanding to the adjacent building in West Hollywood, located at 734 N. La Cienega Blvd.

The new addition, which has no set open date, expands to a new 7,150 square-foot location next to the original. The expanded Koi Restaurant will take over the Los Angeles Fine Art Gallery at 736 N. La Cienega Blvd., among other vacant properties. Owner Nick Haque plans to use the new space to increase the revenue of the already successful Japanese restaurant.

“Located in a hip and vibrant part of Los Angeles, Koi Los Angeles is the perfect spot for casual dining and special celebrations,” according to their website. “The main dining room seats up to 170, while the private dining room is the perfect spot to cozy up to your closest 22 friends.”

The current Koi Restaurant offers a candlelit experience that brings in both celebrities and locals alike. Their menu offers a handful of signature dishes, such as the Koi Crispy Rice and the Miso Bronzed Cod, as well as a variety of signature rolls, including the Baked Crab Roll, the Sunfire Roll, and the aptly named “She’s So LA” Roll.
