Kura Sushi USA, Inc., a trailblazing leader in technology-driven dining experiences and authentic Japanese cuisine, is preparing to open a new location in Arcadia at 400 S. Baldwin Ave, Space #FC13.

Kura Sushi’s newest location is set to open at The Shops At Santa Anita, according to the company’s website. A representative from the company tells What Now Los Angeles that this location is expected to be in the fall of 2025, timing subject to change. This marks a significant achievement for Kura Sushi, which celebrated its 15th anniversary in the U.S. this October. Since its first restaurant opened in Irvine, CA, in 2009, Kura Sushi has become the country’s largest revolving sushi bar chain, with more than 70 locations across 20 states and Washington, D.C. The restaurant offers guests a unique dining experience featuring authentic Japanese cuisine and an engaging revolving sushi service model.

Kura Sushi’s growth over the past 15 years has been fueled by its innovative technology and partnerships. The brand’s dual-layer conveyor system, which includes a revolving sushi bar and an Express Belt, ensures efficient delivery of fresh dishes. The Mr. Fresh food safety dome and tracking technology help maintain sushi freshness, while the Bikkura Pon prize system rewards diners with every 15 plates. Kura Sushi has collaborated with top licensors like Nintendo, Crunchyroll, and SEGA to enhance the dining experience. Recent advancements include drink delivery robots, an AI-powered waitlist system, and a QR-scan plate system for real-time consumption analytics. The brand continues to expand across the U.S., focusing on maintaining authentic Japanese flavors while embracing new innovations.

“Reaching this milestone is a testament to our commitment to innovation and our ability to seamlessly integrate advanced technology while staying true to our roots in Japanese culinary tradition,” Jimmy Uba, President and CEO of Kura Sushi USA, said in a press release late last year. “As we continue expanding, we remain dedicated to bringing our proprietary technology and eater-tainment experience to more diners across the country.”
