La La Land Kind Cafe, a Texas-based coffee shop known for its social mission and whimsical menu, is getting ready to open in Brentwood at 11698 San Vicente Blvd.
The company’s newest Los Angeles location is set to move into the former home of Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, according to ToddRickAllen. While an official opening date has yet to be announced, the space has already begun early preparations. Customers can expect La La Land’s signature drinks like the French Toast Latte, wellness-forward toasts, and a mission-driven atmosphere focused on kindness and community impact.
La La Land Kind Cafe first opened in Dallas in 2019 and has since expanded rapidly, with over 20 locations across Texas, California, and Tennessee. The Brentwood shop will mark the brand’s seventh location in the Los Angeles area, joining existing storefronts in Santa Monica, Glendale, and The Grove. The concept combines specialty coffee service with a youth internship program designed to empower foster youth through job training and mentorship.
The company’s presence on LA’s Westside has gained significant popularity, especially at its Montana Avenue shop, often drawing long lines and social media buzz. The new Brentwood outpost is expected to relieve some of that foot traffic while further embedding the brand in the local community.
In addition to its espresso drinks, La La Land’s menu includes cold-pressed coolers like the Strawberry and Mango Passionfruit Cooler, and open-faced toasts such as the Truffle Burrata Toast and The Queen Avocado Toast. Plant-based and dairy-free options are also available across most offerings.
Francois Reihani founded La La Land Kind Cafe with a dual focus on high-quality coffee and social impact. Through the La La Land Foundation, the cafe provides paid internships, housing assistance, and mental health resources for foster youth transitioning into adulthood.
