A new pizzeria called Cacio E Pizza is looking to debut in Playa Vista, located at 12746 W Millennium Dr.

The proposed restaurant was originally going to replace 800 Degrees Pizza, but a representative from RUNWAY Playa Vista has confirmed it will no longer. Owner Alan Jackson tells What Now LA the project is currently on hold, but he is still pursuing the restaurant. According to documents submitted to the Los Angeles Planning Department, the 5,045 square-foot Cacio E Pizza will have 86 interiors seats with 1,300 square feet of dining space and a 280 square-foot bar area. The restaurant will also have 64 exterior seats on a 1,248 square-foot patio.

Whenever this new restaurant does open, it will not be moving into RUNWAY Playa Vista, which includes other popular restaurants and eateries such as Dan Modern Chinese, Hopdoddy, and Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams. In addition to being near RUNWAY Playa Vista, the nearby Free Market Playa Vista also provides the area with ample foot traffic. The new Cacio E Pizza will serve as the area’s primary pizza restaurant.

This will be an excellent opportunity for Jackson, who also owns Lemonade Restaurant Group and Bull & Butterfly; the latter is situated within RUNWAY Playa Vista. Lemonade, on the other hand, first opened in 2008 and focuses on beautifully prepared salads, hearty braised meats, satisfying sandwiches, decadent desserts, and of course, thirst-quenching lemonades. Cacio Pizza will sit in the building between Common Grounds Park and The Lawn.

CORRECTION: The previous article noted the restaurant will move into the former home of 800 Degree Pizza. A representative from the mall informs What Now Los Angeles that is no longer true. Additionally, previous reports had said the new restaurant will be moving into RUNWAY Playa Vista, which is not true.
