Little Sister Doubling Down on Los Angeles Locations

The company is planning new sites at the Beverly Center, as well as in Beverly Glen, Huntington Beach, and Downtown Los Angeles

Little Sister, a popular Southern California restaurant founded by Chef Tin Vuong and partner Jed Sanford, is getting ready to expand with a handful of new locations coming to Los Angeles County.

Blending Southeast Asian flavors with French and colonial cooking techniques, Little Sister now operates three locations across Southern California: El Segundo at The Point, Irvine Spectrum, and Redondo Beach. The company is now ready to expand its locations, with at least three new locations in the works, although no exact opening dates have been shared at this point.

The first to likely open will be a new site at the Beverly Center, located at 8500 Beverly Boulevard, Suite 117, according to a recent liquor license application. The new Little Sister will move into the former home of Angler. Additional locations are planned for Beverly Glen, Huntington Beach, and Downtown Los Angeles, according to the company’s website.

When these new locations open, customers can expect a menu focused on Southeast Asian-inspired small plates and shareable dishes. Offerings include imperial rolls with shrimp, crab, and pork; caramelized pork belly with prawns; and lemongrass chicken. Other items feature dishes like beef tartare with ma la oil, scallops in Malaysian curry, and xoi sticky rice with cured pork. The menu blends elements from Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, and other Asian cuisines. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are also available.

“East-Meets-West dishes inspired by the rich collisions of food and culture that were borne out of the European colonization of Southeast Asia,” According to the company’s website. “Dishes blend and balance the spices and flavors of Southeast Asia with French techniques and Dutch and British colonial influences. The menu is continually evolving, reflecting both new inspiration and the changing of the seasons. Our restaurant carefully curates spirits, wines, and beverages, focusing on interesting flavors and pairings.”
