Lucy’s & Pop’s Pizza, a new concept from South Bay hospitality veterans Brian Eldridge and Patrick Mescall, is getting ready to make its debut in Torrance at 22252 Palos Verdes Boulevard.
The new restaurant concept will take over the former home of Texas Loosey’s, according to a recent liquor license application. While details about the menu and exact opening date haven’t been released, customers can likely expect a casual, pizza-focused concept that reflects their commitment to quality food and a welcoming atmosphere. The location offers strong visibility and plenty of room for a full-service setup, making it a natural fit for the duo’s growing portfolio of local restaurants.
Mescall is already a familiar name in the South Bay, owning several popular spots, including Eat at Joe’s, The Hula Hula Room, The Sportsman’s Bar, Paddy O’Brien’s Irish Pub, The Sly Fox Irish Pub, The Bounty Room, and Torrance Tavern. His most recent project, Tiki Kai in Hermosa Beach, opened near Pier Plaza as a tropical-inspired restaurant and bar featuring island-style cocktails, themed decor, and a menu of Pacific-inspired dishes. Eldridge partnered with Mescall on Tiki Kai, helping bring the concept to life through both design and operations.
Lucy’s & Pop’s Pizza represents the latest step in the team’s strategy of creating neighborhood-focused restaurants with approachable concepts and strong community ties. The move into the former Texas Loosey’s space gives them a recognizable location and a built-in audience eager for a new dining experience.
More details on the menu, hours, and official opening date are expected in the coming months. For now, South Bay diners can look forward to another addition from one of the region’s most experienced and creative hospitality teams.
