Local Hawaiian-inspired coffee chain Makenna Koffee has new locations in the works as the brand moves into 2026. The brand recently announced a shop heading to Newbury Park at 2700 Teller Rd., Suite A, with plans to open there in the spring. There is also a location opening soon in Santa Monica at 2425 Wilshire Blvd, as spotted by Toddrickallen.

Lance Clauson launched the brand in 2019 in Simi Valley. Existing locations include Westlake Village, Ventura, Valencia and Camarillo. Clauson said the Santa Monica location will open in February or March, while the Newbury Park location will open in March or April.

Makenna Coffee offers espresso drinks with signature offerings such as the North Shore and the Hawaiian Honey, energy drinks, baked goods, blended beverages, smoothies and cold brew. Clauson told What Now Los Angeles that the 2,800-square-foot location in Newbury Park will offer the same menu, with the addition of açaí bowls.
