It looks like hospitality veteran and owner of K-Town’s Mama Lion lounge, Robert Kim, is opening up two new concepts at the corner of 6th Street and Western Avenue.

According to public records, Ktown Pasta LLC was approved for the sale of alcohol in conjunction with a proposed 2,440 square-foot, 44-seat restaurant, located at 558 S Western Ave. The space is described as a “high end pasta bar” and an “Italian restaurant.” Visitkoreatown.org also lists a yet-to-be-opened “Lapaba” pasta bar at 6th and Western. Additionally, the document says that the owner “Also owns adjoining sushi restaurant that has been approved for alcohol and hours until 4 a.m.”

Back in June, Ktown Hospitality, LLC was approved for the sale of alcohol in conjunction with a proposed 1,177 square-foot, 31-seat restaurant, described as a “sushi bar,” at 554 S Western Ave. The Koreatown LA Directory website lists a “full service restaurant” by Ktown Hospitality, LLC at that address.

Hours of operation for both locations are listed as 11 a.m. to 4 a.m. daily, and will stop serving alcohol at 2 a.m.

Kim could not be immediately reached for comment.
