A brand new concept called Mic Drop is getting ready to debut in West Hollywood, located at 8811 Santa Monica Boulevard.

The new concept is set to move into the former home of Flaming Saddles and Eleven Nightclub, according to a recent liquor license application. WeHo Times reports that two businesses will be inside the space, with a portion dedicated to the future home of the Fantom Flower cannabis lounge, located on the corner of Larrabee Street and Santa Monica Boulevard. The 3,500-square-foot space appears to be the future home of Mic Drop WeHo. This is the latest from Leo and Oliver Kremer, the founders of Dos Toros. It is unclear if Mic Drop WeHo is associated with the Mic Drop comedy club in San Diego, which was established in 2022.

While there is no confirmed opening date for this concept, customers can have high expectations, given the successful track record of its founders. Leo is a native of Berkeley, and his brother Oliver enjoyed Mission-style burritos from local taquerias in the Bay Area during his upbringing. After a career as a professional musician, including performing with Third Eye Blind and a brief stint in management consulting, Leo and Oliver opened Dos Toros in New York City in 2009. Since then, they expanded the business to 21 locations and eventually joined forces with the salad chain Chopt to create Founders Table, a restaurant holding company.

Now, the brothers are preparing to open a new concept in West Hollywood, sharing a space with Fantom Flower. The new cannabis lounge coming soon to 8811 Santa Monica Boulevard will open at the former home of the historic Larrabee Sound Studios. Situated in the heart of West Hollywood’s Rainbow District, the cannabis business and stage will offer enthusiasts and the canna-curious a full range of curated cannabis offerings, fine dining, and live entertainment & special events in a relaxed, elegant setting. Fantom Flower proposes onsite consumption areas for smoking, vaping, and ingesting cannabis edibles, located on the second floor of a historic commercial building. The interior lounge area will be divided into two separate sections.
