Movita Juice Bar, a fast-growing chain of eateries offering juices, smoothies, and other beverages, is expanding throughout Los Angeles County.
Previously, What Now Los Angeles reported on franchise owner John Corona and CEO Raul Rodriguez opening new locations of the brand in Long Beach at 1775 Ximeno Ave, plus plans for a South Gate outpost at 8616 Garfield Ave. #103. Now, Corona and his team are getting ready to open even more locations of Movita Juice Bar throughout Los Angeles, with the company having plans to open at least nine locations in the area by the end of the year.
Last year, the Corona family announced that their latest venture, through SJ & Sons MJB Group, is ready to open an additional four locations in Los Angeles following the opening of two locations. Corona, who is part of the family team along with parents Juan and Sofia and brothers Bryant and Jason, said the long-term goal is to become the largest Movita franchisee in Southern California.
“We let the leadership know that we want to be the premier franchisees for the brand,” Corona told Franchise Times last year. “Our plan is to have 30 of these open across Southern California.”
While it’s unclear exactly which locations Corona will own and operate, company vice president Jorge Campos tells What Now Los Angeles that 11 locations are developing for Southern California this year. Movita Juice Bar will open in Los Angeles in Pico Rivera at 5076 Rosemead Boulevard, Bell, Norwalk at 11633 The Plaza, La Miranda at 15078 Rosecrans Ave, Bell Gardens at 7126 B Eastern Avenue, Lakewood at 4073 Hardwick Street, Downtown, Montebello at 2567 Via Campo, and Bellflower. In Orange County, the company will expand to Santa Ana and Anaheim.
California isn’t the only state that will receive new Movita Juice Bar locations. According to Campos, the Scottsdale territory has been put on hold. However, the company will open new locations in Las Vegas, Austin, and Miami by the end of the year through separate franchise owners.
“We’re mostly in Los Angeles,” Rodriguez, the founder and CEO of Movita Juice Bar, told the Franchise Times last year. “It’s a huge market, so we could open 50 in the Los Angeles area and still be relatively unknown. As we grow, we want to eventually get into Florida, Texas, and Arizona. Those are the top three states we want to target, especially because of the climate and the consumption of the types of products we offer.”
