Mr. Tempo is working on a location in DTLA, according to one observant user in the DTLA Development Facebook group. Downtown Los Angeles is also listed as coming soon on Mr. Tempo’s website, but an opening date or exact address is currently unknown.
Jorge Cueva – AKA Mr. Tempo himself – is a successful restauranteur with a variety of brands and locations under his belt, including Tempo Cantina, King & Queens Cantina, Mar Chingon, and Mr. Tempo Nightclub.
This newest location will be a Mr. Tempo Sports Bar & Cantina. Menu items include a large variety of tacos, taquitos, carne asada, enchiladas, burritos, aguachiles, tostadas, vegetarian options, plus a large number of specialty margaritas and cocktails.
Cueva came to the U.S. in 1991 and worked odd jobs before landing a position as a dishwasher in a restaurant, where he found his passion for the hospitality industry. Today, he has worked his way to the top as the owner of several restaurant and nightlife concepts.
