Amiguita, an Afro-Latin concept, is set to open in Silver Lake next month. The concept brings Dominican flavors to Silver Lake, inspired by the chef’s childhood. The restaurant design also draws inspiration from the Dominican Republic, creating a warm atmosphere.
Amiguita to Open in Silver Lake Next Month
Chef Alejandro Eusebio will debut his latest project, Amiguita, in Silver Lake. Opening on March 11, 2026, it is located at 3510 W Sunset Blvd. The 34-seat restaurant creates an intimate atmosphere for guests while offering a family-style dinner menu.
Chef Douglas Rodriguez and Chef Alex García have mentored Chef Eusebio. The former is a James Beard Award-winning chef, and the latter is a Cuban-American chef. Over his 25-year career, Eusebio has earned national recognition and competed on Top Chef Season 5.
Eusebio calls Amiguita his most personal project yet, inspired by his childhood in the Dominican Republic. Everything from the food to the design of the restaurant takes inspiration from the Cibao region of the Dominican Republic, creating a warm vibe for guests. This venture takes Eusebio back to the center of his cooking, where he honors his heritage.
He is joined by longtime collaborator Mara Herbkersman, who serves as the general manager and beverage director. Amiguita will initially serve dinner Wednesday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Brunch and additional daytime hours have been planned for the future.
Unique Dining Experience
Amiguita draws inspiration from the Cibao region in the Dominican Republic. It features 34 seats for family-style dining and a seven-seat bar. The design of the restaurant aims to create a warm and intimate space for diners.
To create this, a mural by LA artist Lara Apponyi is featured in the restaurant. It captures Cibao’s countryside, which helps create the vibe the restaurant tries to achieve.
Menu Inspired by Dominican Traditions and Flavors
A key feature of the kitchen at Amiguita is the Mibrasa charcoal oven. It is used to prepare dishes like Mibrasa Vaca Frita. It is made with hanger steak, orange mojo, grilled onions, and black garlic aioli.
The menu includes dishes such as Yaniqueque Stracciatella, Plantain Gnocchi, Charcoal Grilled Mussels, and Yellowtail Tiradito. Meanwhile, the beverage program features small-production wines, Caribbean beers, fermented cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks. It also offers house-made ginger beer and a traditional Dominican beverage called Morir Soñando.
Ambiguita brings Chef Eusebio’s heritage to LA, blending Dominican flavors with personal history in Silver Lake. Its thoughtful design and family-style menu are set to offer the community a warm and personal Afro-Latin dining experience when it opens.
