A brand new unnamed bar is looking to make its debut in Los Angeles’ Arts District, located at 1948 E 7th St.

Owner April Langford recently requested a change of use of the current 2,760 square-foot liquor store to a bar with onsite and offsite consumption. Langford tells What Now Los Angeles they are probably a year out from opening but are not quite ready to discuss the project. The proposed bar hopes to provide guests with live entertainment and dancing. On top of that, the proposed unnamed bar will have 83 seats and have hours of operations of 9 am to 2 am daily.

If plans are approved, the new bar will sit at the corner of 7th and Mateo Street. The potential bar will have some nearby competition, including Chemist, Everson Royce Bar, Tony’s Saloon, and Little Bear Bar. It is unknown if Langford, a managing partner at Silverlake Wine, will add any eating options with this new bar. If not, guests will have to walk to one of the various local eateries, such as Guerrilla Tacos, Lokels Only Cafe, and Pizzanista!

This isn’t the last of Silverlake Wine, which still has its original location in northern Silver Lake, located at 2395 Glendale Blvd A. The relocation gives Langford the opportunity to open this new bar. The liquor store continues to proudly serve natural, organic, and biodynamic wines while also delivering throughout Los Angeles County. The new bar will move across from the incoming Yess Aquatic.
