ChaTraMue (CTM)–the popular Thai tea brand with bubble tea shops worldwide–is slated to open its second U.S. location inside Thai Town’s Silom Supermarket. Per public records, the space previously served as a bookstore but closed due to lack of business. Owner Anek Bholsangngan is looking to make the vacant spot profitable again with the addition of freshly made Thai boba tea.

“In the previous bookstore we only had 1-2 people working at [the] space, after chang[ing its] use we may hire at least 1-2 extra employees,” the public records state.

CTM has been crafting premium Thai tea since 1945. What started as a tea manufacturing business has grown into an immensely popular boba chain with open stores around the globe.

Menu items at CTM feature offerings like Original Thai Tea, Thai Green Milk Tea, O’Lieng (Thai iced coffee), plus a variety of plum red teas, green teas, oolong teas, jasmine teas, rose teas, yuzu-flavored teas, specialty coffees and more. Customers can also purchase bags of CTM’s loose leaf tea blends to brew at home.

CTM recently opened its first U.S. store in Chinatown, L.A. to an incredible reception. An opening date for the new Thai Town outpost has not been announced.
