A new modern family-style Greek restaurant, Alisa: Wine & Friends, is getting ready to debut in Venice, located at 1009 Abbot Kinney Blvd.

Oleksii Kochetkov will own the new restaurant, with The Happiness-Project Hospitality Group, a consulting company, as its contractor. This will be Kochetkov’s second restaurant, following Mom, Please, the first Ukrainian restaurant in the city, he tells What Now Los Angeles. Now, he is creating Alisa: Wine & Friends, with a menu developed by a renowned chef who will be flying in from London, while the head chef has 25 years of experience in the kitchen.

The Happiness Project is now partnering with Kochetkov to open Alisa: Wine & Friends in the former home of Plant Food and Wine, according to documents submitted to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning. This will be an excellent location for the new restaurant, as it is littered with various restaurants. While there are dozens of places to eat in the area, there are very few Greek options. This new restaurant hopes to fill that hole. When it opens, customers can expect a handful of appetizers and snacks, such as flatbreads, confit peppers, spanakopita, hummus, and more.

There are plenty of options for the entrees and larger items, including Greek salad, red shrimp crudo, moussaka, braised cocoa beans with grilled red mullet and puttanesca butter, and grilled poussin with girolles and beef jus. If anyone wants to celebrate with a massive meal, this restaurant will have a few great options, including a pork souvla with grilled pardon peppers, a braised lamb leg dressed with rosemary and garlic, and whole sea bass made with salsa verde. These three items are encouraged to be shared between two and three people and cost $70, $90, and $110, respectively. Customers can expect baklava, greek donuts with pistachio custard, and yogurt and ice cream for dessert.
