Bad Roman, a modern, maximalist Italian restaurant from Quality Branded, is getting ready to make its West Coast debut with a new location coming to Beverly Hills at 267 N Canon Drive, Suite A7.
The company’s second location is set to move into the former home of Palm Restaurant, according to a recent liquor license application. This well-known celebrity hangout spot closed its doors last year. Much like Palm, Bad Roman first opened in New York City, located at The Shops at Columbus Circle. The menu features playful takes on Italian classics, a regionally-focused wine list, and exciting cocktails. Now Quality Branded, led by Michael Stillman, is preparing to bring the concept to Los Angeles. An opening date has yet to be announced.
When the new restaurant opens later this year, customers can expect a playful and modern Italian dining experience for brunch, lunch, and dinner. The menu will feature a variety of options, ranging from a raw bar and salads to pasta and other entrees. For dessert, guests can look forward to selections like tiramisu ice cream cake and lemon cheesecake. Those looking for a refreshing drink will find classic and signature cocktails at Bad Roman, including the Bad Ombré, made with Maker’s Mark, lemon, Barolo float, and Chinato sinker.
While Bad Roman has received praise in New York, it faces the challenge of taking over the space formerly occupied by the Palm Restaurant, which locals were heartbroken to see close last year. Although the Palm still has locations nationwide, including Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Houston, and Las Vegas, its closure was felt deeply in the Beverly Hills community. Now, Bad Roman hopes its modern and maximalist Italian style will thrive in this location, marking the company’s first-ever expansion.
