The short-lived NFT-backed smash burger restaurant Bored & Hungry has permanently closed its doors in Long Beach and Chile Verde, a fast-casual Mexican chain with more than 10 locations through the Los Angeles area, will take its place, reports Longbeachize.
Chile Verde was established in 1999 by Jose Bahena in Torrance and remains family owned and operated. For more than 25 years, the restaurant has been serving up authentic Mexican breakfast and lunch staples including chorizo and eggs, huevos rancheros, nachos, quesadillas, wet burritos, fajitas, tacos, tortas and much more.
“As an immigrant, arriving in the United States meant having big dreams and a lot of hard work ahead in order to turn those dreams into a reality…The quality and freshness served at Chile Verde has been nothing short of a success,” says the business’ website.
An opening date has not been announced for the new location, but signage has gone up in front of the store that says, “Coming Soon.”
