New York City-founded Bluestone Lane is opening at least two new Santa Monica locations this year.

The first, one of the company’s smaller coffee shop footprints, is slated for the new Colorado Campus creative office complex, at 2041 Colorado Avenue.

Bluestone Lane, which operates its West Coast operations on the premises of its existing Santa Monica outpost, at 631 Wilshire Blvd., is currently hiring for the Colorado Campus location and could open any day.

The second planned outpost, at 924 Montana Avenue, would be an 85-seat, full-service café.

The Australian-inspired eatery would open in space formerly occupied by Fox Laundry, according to a recently-approved City of Santa Monica alcohol exemption permit.

Opening timelines are unclear for both locations, and neither one has yet been added to the company’s website which lists eight Los Angeles-area Bluestone Lane locations across both of its café and coffee shop formats.

An outpost recently opened up the street in Brentwood as part of an ongoing overhaul of the Wells Fargo Center office tower.

The expansion is part of an aggressive plan announced in 2018 for the company to grow to 100 locations by 2021 on the heels of investment from Miami Dolphins Owner Stephen Ross.
