Old Town Camarillo is getting a new tiki bar called House of Bamboo. After experiencing delays during the permitting process, the new bar has started on construction. CFO Eric Allison told What Now Los Angeles that it should be open in around eight months.

According to sketches and merch posted on its Instagram, House of Bamboo will be a true tiki lounge with embellished tiki mugs, tiki torches and island-themed decor. “HOB is bringing back the Trade Winds tiki. It was Ventura County’s first tiki bar in the 1960s, located in Oxnard, CA,” the bar said in a post. It will also offer a full line of tropical drinks and rum cocktails.

The Rincon Room’s Ron Ferrell is the project manager, and the CEO is listed as Daiva McBride. Further details about the project were not provided at this time.
