Om Thai is set to open a second location in Camarillo, owner Laddawan Weyant tells WNLA. Their Oak View outpost has been open for around eight years, and the new spot is slated to debut this fall.

“We’re going to serve more street food, additional appetizers, and have more of a fun vibe,” says Weyant.

She also mentioned that there would be beverages like Thai tea, boba, Thai coffee, beer, and wine, with plans to do a late-night menu after opening.

As for the decor, the cafe-style space will be cozy with dark walls and an open kitchen so guests can watch the chefs make their food.

Weyant’s mother previously had a restaurant in Thailand, and she was inspired to open the first Om Thai in Oak View when she saw a need for authentic and exciting Thai food in the area. Now, she’s bringing those dishes to her own neighborhood.

“We’re excited to open in Camarillo because it’s closer to my home and I want to serve our delicious food to the community.”

Om Thai will be open seven days a week.
