Panda Express — the prolific American-Chinese restaurant chain by college sweethearts Andrew and Peggy Cherng — will soon open another location at 1902 Lincoln Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90405, according to a banner hanging from Suite B of the SaMo High School-adjacent strip mall.
The plaza already plays home to a vast number of fast-food options such as El Pollo Loco, Firehouse Subs, Pita House, and Starbucks, as well as specialty establishments like Sylvan Learning and Nails on the Moon, which will reside just left of the incoming Panda Express.
Per the brand’s website, Panda Express creates “flavors [that] are a combination of Chinese roots with an American taste.” Additionally, the company aims to “serve dishes that are authentically American Chinese, every time.”
An example of such is the eatery’s beloved orange chicken: sugared poultry with a citrus twist served atop fried rice or chow mein. Panda Express also offers steak and seafood creations and sides like cream cheese wontons and egg rolls.
