Papi Tacos & Churros Expands to Second Location

Authentic Mexican street food is coming to Santa Monica. Papi Tacos & Churros is settling into its second taco shop at 313 Wilshire Boulevard, just four blocks from Santa Monica Beach. The original taco shop in Jefferson Park has been closed since April when a fire broke out in the building and is currently undergoing renovations.

The menu at Papi Tacos & Churros is simple and delectable. Patrons may choose from burritos, quesatacos, quesadillas or mulitas remixes with either birria beef or pollo asado, melted cheese, onion, and cilantro. Each dish features Papi’s corn or flour tortillas that are crisped with their signature consumé that give the tortillas a vibrant red-orange hue. The taco shop also offers Keto birria and chicken tacos and a variety of vegetarian options. We’d be remiss not to mention Papi’s heavenly churros, which can be drizzled with Nutella and homemade dulce de leche. To quench one’s thirst, the taco shop offers a classic selection of aguas frescas and Mexican Cokes.

Although an official opening date has not yet been announced, a recent post on Papi Tacos & Churros’ Instagram reassures its devoted fans that the new Santa Monica location is “coming soon.”
