Philz Coffee, a San Francisco-based coffee chain known for its personalized, pour-over coffee experience, is set to open three new locations throughout Los Angeles County.

The coffee company will start by opening a new location in Los Feliz at 2117 Hillhurst Avenue, moving into the former home of McCall’s Meat & Fish Co., which announced last year that it is moving to Atwater Village after 14 years in the space. The other new Philz Coffee location will be opening in Burbank at 4400 W Riverside Drive, replacing a Lemonade location. It’s unclear when these two new locations are expected to open, but they are currently listed as “coming soon” on the company’s website.

While these two publicly announced locations are preparing to open, Philz Coffee is working on a third location at 3250 Glendale Boulevard in Atwater Village, situated in a new development called The Local. This new development, which used to be the home of a Wells Fargo branch, will also feature a new location of Yunomi Handroll and Nova’s Grill, with space for three additional tenants, according to LoopNet. While it’s unclear when this new location is expected to open, the area will feature an outdoor common patio and the largest parking lot in Atwater Village with 36 spots, as well as 40 additional spaces in a public lot.

There are already 15 locations of Philz Coffee throughout Los Angeles. All locations offer a menu focused on handcrafted, pour-over coffee made to order. Popular drinks include the Iced Mint Mojito, Mocha Tesora, and the Oatmeal Cookie Cold Brew. Customers can choose their preferred sweetness and cream levels, with options including oat, almond, and soy milk. Each drink is made using custom coffee blends created by Philz. The company has become a popular option amongst coffee fanatics as it emphasizes freshness by brewing every cup individually rather than in batches.
