Pane Bianco — opened in 2005 by Chef Chris Bianco and later voted the best sandwich in Phoenix — will open an LA outpost at Row DTLA: 757 S Alameda St Suite 160, Los Angeles, CA 90021.
The location will be Pane Bianco’s second, with the maiden operation hailing from the Valley of the Sun right around the corner from Phoenix’s Pizzeria Bianco.
Similarly, the LA Pane Bianco will reside just a short walk from Pizzeria Bianco’s DTLA locale, which will switch to full-time wood-fired pies as the new Pane Bianco debuts nearby.
Arriving in the next few months, Pane Bianco will progressively expand its menu of sandwiches to reflect the Phoenix location’s menu that offers a range of creations like “a classic Italian to an albacore tuna salad with red onion.”
“The current Pizzeria Bianco space will convert into an all-day wood-fired pizzeria, more in line with the famous original Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix,” explains Eater LA. “Customers can go in for lunch, sit down, and enjoy Bianco’s classic Rosa or Sonny Boy pies with a beer or glass of wine.”
On the other hand, the LA Pane Bianco will serve New York City-style slices and whole 18-inch pies in addition to a slew of sandwiches.
