Picasso Pie Wood Fire Pizza, the restaurant that specializes in 12-inch Artisan pizzas, is opening a new location in Downtown Los Angeles at 752 S. Main St.
The new 500-square-foot location will move into the ground floor of the Huntington Apartments at an unknown time. Owner James Brister confirms with What Now Los Angeles that he is expanding the company to a second location but could not confirm an opening date. Considering the five-year lease doesn’t start until December 2022, customers can expect this new location to open sometime next year. Customers can find the original food fire pizza restaurant at 505 N Figueroa St.
When this new location opens, customers can expect plenty of classic pizza flavors served as 12 by-12-inch pizzas. Picasso Pizza offers a dozen different specialty pizzas, ranging from vegetarian to meat lovers, called The Gordo, with five different types of meat. Picky eaters can customize their own pie to create their own perfect pizza. The restaurant’s website suggests ownership is working on adding chicken wings to the menu.
This will be a perfect location for the new Picasso Piza, considering there are few pizza shops in the area other than Amante Restaurant and Pizza Hut. Other nearby restaurants and retailers are destined to bring in more foot traffic to the restaurant as well. Nearby eateries include Casa La Dona, Wild Living Foods, and Basil & Cheese Cafe.
