Plan Check Santa Monica Now Closed

Nearby Sawtelle is still home to the New American restaurant, as is DTLA.

Plan Check has closed its Santa Monica doors, at 1401 Ocean Ave Suite 104.

The prime corner space within arms reach of the Pacific sat adjacent Robata Bar.

It’s unclear when the New American restaurant held its last service, but the location has since been removed from Plan Check’s website and has been marked “permanently closed” on Yelp and Google.

Calls to the location ring off the hook, and social media references on the company’s Facebook and Instagram profiles have disappeared.

With the Santa Monica closure, Plan Check has remaining outposts in nearby neighborhood Sawtelle and in DTLA.

Why Plan Check pulled the plug on its beachfront restaurant is unknown.

Reps for the chain on Wednesday did not immediately respond to a request for comment by What Now Los Angeles.

  • Plan Check, Sawtelle which I live 2 streets from, is not a well run restaurant. Their product is marginal and service is sub-par. YES I know what I’m talking about, restaurant GM for decades!!
