Planning Commission Approves New Comedy Club for DTLA

The L.A. Planning Commission recently approved a new comedy club located in DTLA called The Upstairs. According to public records, the 6,000 square-foot nightclub will have live entertainment, a full bar, and will seat up to 225 patrons. Hours of operation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. An opening date is still unknown.

The Upstairs is owned by Sam Sleiman, who is also a partner in Kinetic Media, a talent management agency representing directors, writers and animation studios.
