Ugo Cafe Owner Ugo Pascarella thinks he’s found the perfect spot to grow his business.

At the corner of Third Street and Promenade, he thinks he’ll get plenty of foot traffic from in and around the area.

“The Promenade is a fixture of Santa Monica for locals, tourists, and local tourists,” Pascarella explained. “It’s always been a great place to go and we’re excited to be here.”

He thinks the new dining spot will appeal to just about anyone walking by.

“We serve a mix of Italian coffees, pastries, homemade gelato, Neapolitan pizzas,” Pascarella said. “We’ll have a lot of grab-and-go options, and do some breakfast.”

Between the assortment of food, desserts, beer, and wine, there’s going to be something for everyone.

Ugo Cafe first opened in Culver City in 2002. The new location in Santa Monica will be more of a cafe compared to the full restaurant in Culver City.

“We want you to be able to take anything we serve and walk along The Promenade,” he said. “There will be tables and chairs set up to sit and stay and have a beer.”

Pascarella hopes to open by mid-May.
