Oakland-based coffee roasters Red Bay Coffee is opening a new location in Inglewood, located at 1209-1285 S. District Dr.

The new coffee shop will move into the Hollywood Park area, near SoFi Stadium. Owner Keba Konte expects to open the new location in the second phase of construction, which is planned for Spring 2023. Red Bay Coffee will join several other new businesses coming to the area as part of this massive project. A few other tenants coming to the site include Los Angeles’ own Sky’s Gourmet Tacos, a second location for family-owned juice bar Antojitos Martin; a second Inglewood location for Residency Art Gallery, Three Weavers GRDN, and an Iconix Fitness.

Although several aspects of Hollywood Park, located at 1000 S. Prarie Ave., have already been completed, such as SoFi Stadium, Youtube Theater, and the NFL Building, the park recently reached over 65 percent completion of the residential and retail space. The Wilson Meany development team hopes to eventually open an upscale 300-room boutique hotel that will offer an iconic lakefront location with a resort area featuring an outdoor pool.

Red Bay Coffee, founded in 2014, can be found throughout Los Angeles, but mainly at other retailers. Both South LA Cafe and Inglewood’s Sip & Sonder offer Red Bay Coffee, while the company used to have a Southern California roastery in Cienega but has since closed. Now, it is likely the new Inglewood location will become their main headquarters for Southern California.
