Korean BBQ restaurant Red House BBQ is opening in Norwalk, located at 15921 – 15925 Pioneer Blvd.
Owner Jeff Lee tells What Now Los Angeles he expects to have a grand opening on March 1st. The new restaurant will replace a Subway, massage spa Naturista, and the former home of Anthony’s Outlet near Excelsior High School. Lee says the restaurant will resemble a traditional Koren BBQ restaurant, where guests purchase different choices of meat, typically beef, pork, or chicken, and cook it themselves on a gas or charcoal grill built into the dining table itself. A recent liquor license application suggests soju and other Korean drinks will be found at this restaurant.
This is not to be mistaken with the Red House BBQ in Tehachapi, which serves Native American-inspired dishes. Lee is also the owner of Red Palace Korean BBQ in Cerritos. On top of Korean BBQ, the restaurant offers brisket, which has led to countless positive reviews, many of which can be found on their website. What’s more impressive than the massive amount of reviews is the hard-to-beat prices on all of their dishes.
When Red House BBQ opens at the beginning of March, customers can expect small tender cuts of beef tongue, beef short ribs, pork belly, and chicken. Like other Korean BBQ spots, the menu will depend on how much and what kind of meat the party wants. The popular big-group restaurant will have individual grills at each table where guests cook their own meats.
