[Renderings] Los Angeles to Get First U.S. Restaurant of 800-Location Chain Xiaolongkan Chinese Hot Pot

A second outpost later this year is opening in Houston under the same US-based restauranteurs.

Xiaolongkan Chinese Hot Pot, an 800-location eatery with outposts in Australia, Canada, China, Japan, New Zealand, and Singapore, is expanding stateside with a location in Los Angeles.

Resatruantuers Tony Xu and Sean Xie this month will open the planned Xiaolongkan Chinese Hot Pot in Alhambra, at 46 W Valley Blvd, replacing the 4,000-square-foot White Prawn restaurant, according to a Facebook page for the location.

An exact opening date has not yet been disclosed and reps for the restaurant on Tuesday did not immediately respond to What Now Los Angeles’ request for comment.

It will be the first U.S. location but not for long.

The Sichuan-based restaurant since 2014 is also heading to Houston, TX, under the direction of Xu and Xie.
